Lotus Paintings

I have been making "Lotus Series" of painting for while now.

The main subject matter of the “Lotus series” is not mealy description and application to the delicate lotus flower which grows from the muddiest of waters. The symbolism here is of the process of enlightenment: The buds reach up towards the surface, comes out of the water and blooms. A person reaches their full potential (blossoms), by overcoming their own negativities such as anger, greed and jealousy (the mud). My wish is that viewer can visualize themselves as a lotus flower and guide themselves to an awakened state of mind in order to achieve true happiness.
